Self-Contained Compactors

Liquid-tight compactors for wet waste. Rented, sold, installed and maintained in all 50 states.

What It Is

A self-contained compactor joins the compactor and the container into one sealed, liquid-tight unit. That makes it the standard choice wherever the waste is wet: food scraps, produce, kitchen waste and anything else that leaks.

When the unit is full, your hauler picks up the whole machine with a roll-off truck, empties it and sets it back in place. Because liquids stay inside the container, the pad stays cleaner and odors and pests are easier to control, especially with an enclosed hopper.

From Loading to Hauling

  1. Waste is loaded into the hopper from the ground, a dock, a chute or a cart tipper.
  2. A hydraulic ram pushes the waste into the attached container and compresses it.
  3. A gauge or indicator light shows when the unit is nearing full.
  4. The hauler lifts the entire unit, empties it and returns it to the pad.

Self-Contained Compactor FAQ

What is the difference between a self-contained and a stationary compactor?

A self-contained compactor is one sealed unit, so liquids stay inside and the whole machine is hauled to be emptied. A stationary compactor stays bolted to the pad and only its detachable container is hauled, which suits dry waste.

What size self-contained compactor do I need?

It depends on how much waste you generate and how often you want it hauled. Most units fall between 15 and 40 cubic yards. We size the unit from your current container sizes and pickup schedule.

Do self-contained compactors help with odors and pests?

Yes. The sealed, liquid-tight design keeps liquids inside, and an enclosed hopper limits access for insects and rodents.

Can I rent a self-contained compactor instead of buying one?

Yes. Our rental program covers delivery, installation, maintenance and repairs for one flat monthly cost, with no capital outlay.
